“RING OF FIRE”
The vessel
is a 34’ Marinette which was an older boat and has been completely refurbished into
this beautiful power boat. It is equipped with the latest navigational and
safety equipment.
Why “Ring of
Fire”? First, the boat is a fiery red and second, the owner was a good friend
of Merle Kilgore who co-wrote the song “Ring of Fire” with June Carter Cash. In
honor of his friend, the boat was named.
Side Note:
My wife Kim, is a distant cousin with Johnny Cash in that her grandmother was a
Cash. For a reunion, one of the recent family members tracked the family back
to the Johnny Cash family. (Kim will sometimes name drop.)
